Indigenous Justice Issues

Tehuwatilihwas Kenhase Ukwekoku, “They will speak for the Indigenous People”, was founded in November 2016. Our Justice Program is an initiative created to improve access to legal services for First Nations/Inuit/Metis communities residing in Chippewa of the Thames First Nation, Oneida of the Thames First Nation, Munsee-Delaware First Nation, Elgin & Oxford Counties, London & Middlesex as well as Huron & Perth Counties, providing culturally respectful, appropriate and accessible means of support, intervention and assistance.

Sara George, the Indigenous Justice Coordinator, provides support and advocacy for Indigenous people living in these areas who are in need of legal assistance.
